Update from Valley View Bible Camp

October 29, 2008

Another summer has come and gone, and the Lord has blessed us once again.  We had just under 500 campers again this summer, where we saw approximately 30 new decisions made for the lord. This ministry is so exciting being allowed to see young hearts being touched by the Lord.  Please pray for these campers as they return home to their families, pray that they will be able to share about all that they learned.  Also pray that they will continue to seek God's Word and continue to grow in their newfound faith.

Pray for our summer missionaries who are now dispersed back their respective schools, colleges, and universities or are busily preparing to attend college for the next semester.  Our Summer Missionaries all came with a wonderful servant attitude, willing to serve where ever needed. We were able to share our staff with many other camps this summer, allowing them to grow and stretch beyond their comfort zone, by placing them in unfamiliar situations. They all did so well, we are so proud and excited to see each them respond to Gods calling, and spread their wings!

This summer we saw a welcomed increase in numbers for our family camp, and many new families came out to enjoy the weekend's activities and were blessed by Pastor Randy Fehr's chapel services. Special thanks to all those involved in planning and facilitating this part of our program.

Now it is all quiet here on our hill, as we convert from summer camp mode to rental facility mode. We are keeping busy with our kids back to school, and anticipating winter activities starting up sooner than we think.  Pray that we may continue to build into both our summer missionaries and our camper lives throughout this upcoming non camping season.

We couldn't run Valley view without the support from you, whether it was volunteering, financially, or you're much needed prayer.  Thank you for encouragement, they have meant a lot to all of us here at Valley View Bible Camp.
